Noise and loud sounds are becoming increasingly relevant in everyday life. The noise level along busy roads and motorways is often very stressful, disturbing, and unpleasant for residents. Massive concrete noise barriers also visually destroy the landscape and have a bleak and disconcerting effect.<\/p>\n

The wooden noise barrier is convincing all along the line! At RAU, different types of wood are used for the timber acoustic fence, depending on the location and purpose. From solid larch wood, pine and spruce to sweet chestnut. This guarantees the construction of a stable and robust noise barrier. The noise protection wall made of larch is particularly compelling due to its light and natural colouring, which blends very nicely with green spaces. Larch wood is resistant to chemicals and extremely durable. The high resin content of larch wood ensures that the wood is very dimensionally stable and hardly warps or expands over time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Noise protection made of wood from RAU: the installation<\/h2>\n

The effective noise protection system consists of a deep foundation with foundation piles and a concrete base. The foundation piles are either driven casings or drilled piles. The noise protection effect, as well as the sound insulation and absorption, is provided by the noise protection cassettes made of larch heartwood.<\/p>\n

RAU manufactures the wood noise barrier cassettes in its own production facilities. This makes flexible design and production of the noise protection elements possible. The timber acoustic fence can be equipped with doors and gates on request, a combination with glass, aluminium and concrete is also possible and the wooden noise barrier can be designed to be highly absorbent on one or both sides. Noise protection and sound insulation are thus provided equally from both sides.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
